Where we work
CiCA is based in Zambia. We work in partnership with Lordsway Ministries, Mufulira, and we are now registered as a Zambian charity.
The children we support live mainly in the Copperbelt region of Zambia in both urban and rural settings. The towns covered are, Mufulira, Kitwe, Ndola, Kalulushi and Luanshya. Recently through the work of Lordsway Ministries we have started supporting some children in Mansa, in the Luapula province of Northern Zambia.
Zambia is a land of great contrasts - colour, vitality and laughter, side by side with great suffering and pain, through poverty and the HIV/AIDS crisis. The official statistics tell us that 1 in 5 Zambians is HIV+ although the observed reality seems to suggest something worse - the answer lies with the current generation of children, and through our work with families in these towns and beyond we hope to play a small part in changing the future of a nation.
